Dark North

Images i made during a photographic trip to Iceland. This country is known as the land of fire and ice, but to me the most prominent characteristic was contrast. Hot volcanos and geysers next to icy glaciers, white waves breaking on to black sand, high mountains next to vast flat empty fields. These images are my attempt to capture the feeling of those antithesis.
